Call for Abstracts: Poster Presentation

Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP) 2027 Annual Conference Friday, September 10 & Saturday, September 11, 2027

The Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP) Education Committee invites you to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the TNP 2027 Annual Conference. This is an opportunity to showcase your work to a diverse audience of advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and contribute to the advancement of nurse practitioner practice.

Abstract Selection Process

The TNP Education Committee will review all submitted poster abstracts. Selections will be based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance of abstract content to the interests of nurse practitioners.
  • Alignment with TNP’s mission, vision, and values (visit www.texasnp.org for details).
  • Speaker qualifications.
  • Integration within the conference curriculum.

Presenters will be notified of acceptance by mid-May 2027.

Abstract Review Criteria

Abstracts will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Relevance: Topic aligns with TNP’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Focus: Content supports TNP’s key priorities, including advanced practice projects, leadership, research, and other relevant areas.
  • Quality: Content is precise, comprehensive, current, and applicable to APRN practice.
  • Audience Suitability: Content is appropriate for advanced practice registered nurses.

Topics of Interest

We welcome abstracts in the following areas:

  • Acute Care
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
  • Family/Adult Health
  • Pediatrics
  • Geriatrics
  • Women’s Health
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health
  • Practice-Related/Professional Issues
  • Business/Clinic Ownership

Poster Presenter Requirements

Presenters are required to:

  • Consult their school of nursing for poster standards, if applicable.
  • Submit a photo of the poster to bella@texasnp.org for Education Committee review prior to the conference.
  • Review the grading rubric provided upon abstract approval.
  • Set up the poster on the morning of the presentation and remove it at the end of the day.
  • For students: Be scheduled to graduate prior to the conference (not the application deadline) and have a sponsoring faculty member.
  • You must be a member of TNP to present a Poster.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Poster boards are 4 x 8 feet.
  • Please bring your own tacks.
  • Poster boards will be located in the Exhibit Hall.
  • Check in at the registration counter upon arrival notify Bella once you have arrived.

Posters must be placed the morning on the day of your presentation and removed at the end of the day. Any posters left behind will be discarded by the hotel.
